These terms apply to every hire of a drink printing machine from The Pint Printers ("we", "us"). By paying a booking fee, or by paying in full for a corporate or short-notice booking, you accept them. They are written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@thepintprinters.co.uk before you book.
1. Your booking
A booking is confirmed when we receive your booking fee of 25% of your package price, paid through the secure Stripe link we send you. The booking fee comes off your total, it is not an extra charge. Your date is only reserved once the booking fee has been paid.
For corporate bookings, and for any booking made within 60 days of the event, the full hire fee is payable upfront instead. Corporate invoices are available on request.
2. Payment
- The remaining balance, plus the refundable £300 damage deposit, is due 60 days before your event. We will remind you.
- If the balance is not paid by 14 days before your event despite reminders, we may treat the booking as cancelled under section 3.
- All prices are in pounds sterling. We will tell you on your invoice if we are VAT registered.
3. Cancellation and refunds
- The booking fee is non-refundable in all circumstances, it is what takes your date off the market.
- Cancel 60 days or more before your event: you lose only the booking fee. Any balance already paid is refunded in full.
- Cancel within 60 days of your event: the hire fee is non-refundable.
- The £300 damage deposit is always refunded in full on cancellation, whenever it happens.
- Postponements: tell us as early as you can and we will move your booking to a new date at no extra cost, subject to availability. If we cannot agree a workable new date, the cancellation terms above apply.
4. Delivery and return
- We send the machine by tracked courier, arriving one or two days before your event, always ahead of the big day, to the UK address you give us. Please make sure someone can receive it.
- After your event, repack the machine in the packaging it arrived in and drop it at any local drop-off point within 2 working days, showing the return QR code we send you, no label or printer needed.
- The supplied packaging is protective and must be reused for the return. If the machine is returned in different packaging and is damaged in transit, the damage is treated as within your responsibility under section 6.
- Late returns can cost us other customers' events. If the machine is returned late we may deduct reasonable charges from your damage deposit to reflect our losses, and we will always itemise anything we deduct.
5. If something goes wrong on our side
- If the machine does not reach you in time for your event for reasons within our or our courier's control, we will refund everything you have paid, including the booking fee and the deposit.
- If the machine develops a fault we cannot resolve with you remotely and it materially cannot do its job at your event, we will refund the hire fee in full or in fair proportion to the shortfall.
- Our total liability under any booking is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for indirect losses, but nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
6. The machine, the deposit, and your responsibilities
- The machine remains our property at all times.
- Use it indoors, on a stable surface, with a standard UK 13A socket, following the guide in the box. Do not open, modify or attempt to repair it.
- Fair wear and tear is on us. Damage beyond fair wear and tear, or loss or theft while the machine is in your care, is deducted from the £300 deposit. If the cost of repair or replacement genuinely exceeds the deposit, we may invoice the difference, with evidence.
- The deposit is refunded within 7 working days of the machine arriving back with us in good condition.
7. Ink and food safety
The machine prints with food-safe edible ink made from water, sorbitol, food-grade glycerin and food colourants. It is vegan, gluten-free, halal and kosher, and tested to FDA, EU and SGS food-contact standards. Certificates are available on request for your venue. Use only cartridges supplied by us, using any other consumable ends the hire and forfeits the deposit.
8. Designs and guest uploads
- You confirm you have the right to use every design and photo you send us or upload at the event, and that nothing infringes anyone else's rights.
- We may decline to load designs that are unlawful, hateful or clearly likely to cause offence. We will always talk to you first.
- If the guest selfie QR feature is switched on, your bar staff approve each upload before it prints. What prints at your event is your responsibility.
- We never use photos from your event in our marketing without your permission.
9. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and any dispute belongs to the courts of England and Wales. If one part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms, together with your booking confirmation, are the whole agreement between us.
